In a woman’s natural ovarian cycle, only one egg is released. For egg freezing, or IVF and/or ICSI, there is a need for multiple eggs to be produced. As a result, the ovaries need to be stimulated to produce more than one egg in a chosen cycle.
- How is the ovarian stimulation performed?
- What are the factors to consider?
- How to optimise stimulation for the best results (a high number of eggs)?
- What is Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHS):
- How to avoid OHS?
-How can patients prepare for ovarian stimulation?
We are pleased to announce our webinar “The art of ovarian stimulation” answered all of the above questions and more. The webinar was held on Friday 16th July 2021 at 7.30 pm and had in the panel the HSFC’s leading experts Dr Geetha Venkat, Director and Senior Consultant at HSFC and Dr Lieve Verstraete, Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist.
