While we are serious about what we do at the Harley Street Fertility Clinic, we are also serious about keeping fit and giving back to good causes.
To combine these two passions, Dr. Suvir Venkataraman, General Manager, and Rachael Close, Lead Nurse, from the clinic will be riding from London to Paris to raise money for West London Mission.
This is an outstanding charity that empowers people affected by homelessness, poverty, and trauma to live more fulfilling lives. West London Mission has been a vehicle for change since 1887 (over 130 years) and their projects aim to enable transformative change for people in challenging circumstances.
Over three days, Suvir and Rachael will leave the comfort of the clinic and cycle 330km from The Howard de Walden Estate in the heart of London to the Tour Eiffel in Paris, something they have been busy preparing for over the summer months.
Suvir has said, “I am proud to be riding with colleagues and members of the Marylebone community in this London to Paris bike ride. We are raising money for the brilliant local charity, the West London Mission which does so much for people affected by homelessness. It is so easy for us to take day to day essentials for granted, but there are so many people out there who just don’t have the basics and that needs to change.
He adds, “As much as this ride is a personal challenge for me, I hope the money we raise will make a difference for others who experience challenges every single day.”
If you are able to spare just a few pounds for this great cause we would really appreciate it and we are pretty sure it will help us to peddle just a little bit faster!
