Keeping You Safe At Harley Street Fertility Clinic

A lot has changed over the last year since our world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, and that has meant that here at Harley Street Fertility Clinic, we’ve had to change too. In these unprecedented times, our staff and patients have had to face new challenges, but as a clinic, we have worked tirelessly to make sure we’re minimising the risk of infection wherever possible.

Please see below for further information about how things at our clinic have changed over the last few months to ensure your safety:

Treatments 

While we were offering limited treatments at the beginning of the pandemic, we are now once again able to offer all treatments to our patients!

Keeping Our Clinic COVID-Free 

To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, we have made some changes to our appointment processes and other operations here at Harley Street Fertility Clinic. Please see below for details.

  • Pre-screening

We ensure a pre-screening takes place for everyone who attends the clinic. This includes testing for SARS CoV-2 (RT-PCR). This is also offered to all patients prior to treatment.

  • Remote Appointments

Where no contact with the patient is required, we have made remote appointments available (via Zoom or over the phone). 

For female fertility check-ups, we’re providing an in-person ultrasound scan, hormone profile  and remote follow up consultation.

For male fertility check-ups, we’re providing the option of an at-home semen assessment as well as an in Clinic service.

  • Timings & Attendance 

As part of our clinic policy we are making sure to issue fewer appointments and leave longer intervals between appointments to avoid any overlap. 

No one other than the patient will be allowed to attend appointments. This is to minimise the number of people on-site at all times. Our patients are welcome to use video calling if they require support from loved ones. 

Counselling and support are an important part of a patient’s journey, and our specialists and members of staff are always available to help if necessary.

On-site Changes To HSFC

In addition to the changes made to our appointment processes, we have also taken precautions on-site here at HSFC to further ensure your safety when attending appointments at our clinic. These precautions include:

  • Screens installed on the main desks
  • Availability of single-use/disposable items (including paper/plastic cups for beverages)
  • Fewer chairs available in waiting areas to encourage social distancing
  • New automatic hand sanitiser at the entrance
  • Availability of PPE for all staff and patients

We also ask all of our patients to wear masks throughout their appointments.
