The journey to parenthood can be long and challenging. At Harley Street Fertility Clinic, our unwavering mission is to leave no stone unturned when helping you in your quest to becoming a parent.

We are committed in personalising treatments, and by offering comprehensive fertility tests and investigations, our experts can tailor the treatments to address specific issues that might prevent you from conceiving.

Some of the factors that can prevent a successful embryo implantation and pregnancy are related to your uterus – e.g. an imbalance in the microbial and bacterial environment on the womb lining, let’s explore how these factors can affect your fertility.

ALICE and EMMA tests

For patients experiencing endometrium problems, PCOS, recurrent implantation failure or miscarriages, to maximise the chances of pregnancy success, we offer specialized tests like ALICE and EMMA. These diagnostic tools help us identify the microbial and bacterial uterine environment, and define an appropriate treatment pathway.

The ALICE test or Analysis of Infectious Chronic Endometriosis (ALICE) detects bacteria that can cause chronic endometriosis.

The EMMA test or Endometrial Microbiome Metagenomic Analysis test evaluates the lining of your womb at a micro biological level.

ERA tests

Endometrial Receptivity Analysis (ERA) test is another test that helps our experts evaluate when the womb is most receptive for embryo transfer, enhancing the chances of successful implantation and pregnancy. The science behind ERA involves molecular analysis of endometrial tissue to assess gene expression patterns, hormonal signaling and genetic factors, enabling an individual optimum window for endometrial receptivity for a successful embryo implantation.

EndomeTRIO Tests

Our comprehensive suite of diagnostic tools includes the EndomeTRIO tests which consist of all three tests described above and can offer crucial insights into uterine receptivity for a successful embryo implantation. By assessing the uterine health, our experts can optimize your treatment plan for the best chances of success.
