As part of our ongoing pursuit for fertility success, we are delighted to announce we will present our newest research findings at the 10th International IVIRMA Congress. The congress will take place between 20-22nd April 2023 in Mallorca, where IVF world experts gather to discuss the latest discoveries in reproductive medicine.
Egg donation is used worldwide for treating infertility in women. Egg donors are usually healthy young women who undergo ovarian stimulation voluntarily. The aim of the study was to observe the real-world efficacy and safety profile of Follitropin delta in women undergoing ovarian stimulation for egg donation.
For a safe and efficient Ovarian Stimulation, the drug Follitropin delta (Rekovelle) was used. Based on a woman’s anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) level and body weight, the dose can be individualised for best results, and to avoid excessive ovarian response. Harley Street Fertility Clinic ran a pilot study in egg donors using the new drug Rekovelle for ovarian stimulation.
This real-world observational study indicates that the use of Follitropin delta for ovarian stimulation using the individualised dosing algorithm results in a good ovarian response and a favourable safety profile in egg donors.
The paper is authored by Dr Venkat, Director, Dr Suvir Venkataraman, General Manager, Poonam Shah, pharmacist (Harley Street fertility Clinic) as well as Priti Bajaj and Jessica Swainston from Ferring Pharmaceuticals, London.
“We are excited about the findings of this study, and we are looking forward to presenting our research to our colleagues at the congress,” says Dr Venkat, Director. “We are proud to take part in conferences and symposium, where we can learn from other experts in assisted reproductive medicine, for the benefits of our patients. We are looking forward to continue using the protocol that we established.”
The work was carried out over a period of 3 months.
