IUI and Sperm Donor Webinar Recording
“Being in a same-sex couple meant we needed to use donor sperm. We chose IUI to increase our chance of conceiving.” Patient HSFC, using donor sperm and IUI, now a mother
“We knew that using sperm donor and IUI were our only chance of conceiving. My husband had azoospermia, meaning we would never be able to conceive using his sperm. Using donor sperm helped us have the baby that we longed for.”
Patient HSFC, using donor sperm and IUI, now a mother
IUI, or Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI), is sometimes referred to as artificial insemination, because it involves placing prepared sperm into the woman’s womb near the time of ovulation. It is used by couples with unexplained fertility issues, couples who use frozen sperm, or same-sex couples. IUI can be performed with the partner’s sperm or with donor sperm.
