“IVF using donor eggs” webinar recording
“Being pre-menopausal meant a decrease of egg quality and quantity, so using a donor egg was the next obvious choice.”
Patient HSFC, using donor eggs, now a mother
When dealing with fertility issues, many women find themselves unable to have a baby using their own eggs. Medical reasons (e.g. undergoing cancer treatment, chromosomal abnormalities that could be passed on to the children), low ovarian reserve (due to the age or presence of endometriosis), are just a few factors in using donor eggs.
The recording of our information evening on "IVF using donor eggs" that took place on Friday, 24 July 2020 is now available to watch.
The webinar covered a varied range of topics and included egg donors screening, egg donors' types, legal requirements, matching the right donor with the recipient’s specific requests and many more. Practical aspects of the process were also discussed, as well as the cost. The attendees had the opportunity of asking questions at the end of the webinar.
The panel included:
– Dr Geetha Venkat, Director and senior consultant at HSFC;
– Dr Suvir Venkataraman, General Manager at HSFC;
– Mrs Dharshi Kiruba, Egg Donor Coordinator HSFC;
– Mrs Bijal Gill, Patient Coordinator HSFC.
