International Women's Day 2021
Choose to challenge
Every year on 8th of March we celebrate International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is “Choose to challenge”.
We, at Harley Street Fertility Clinic, choose to challenge every day by:
- Removing Stereotypes. We have male nurses, and our Director is female and of ethnic minority background.
- Welcoming Cultural differences. Our staff are from Belgium, India, Italy, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Romania, Australia, Albania and Greece.
- Being inclusive (non-selective). We do not turn away patients based on age, sexual orientation, or BMI.
- Empowering women. Our management team has 62.5% women.
“We are challenging stereotypes every day,” says Dr. Venkat. “We challenge the stereotype that a woman is to blame for infertility. Infertility affects both men and women, regardless of social status, culture or religion. That’s why it’s so important to emphasise the fact that no one is to blame for infertility issues and how we can help overcome these issues”.
"Happy International Women's Day!"
We show #GenderEquality, #Diversity and #CulturalDiversity in our clinic every day. Follow us on Social Media to find out more (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
“International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
International Women’s Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.
