National Fertility Awareness Week - Day 2



If it’s Tuesday, it’s #FertilityInTheWorkplace.


Unfortunately infertility doesn’t come with guaranteed paid leave. It’s not a disease so sick leave is out of the questions, and it’s definitely not a holiday - blood tests, countless injections and medication don’t seem to be much fun. The toll that IVF treatments takes on mental health is also not openly discussed in offices.

But here we are, to join Fertility Network UK in raising awareness. Be a fertility champion, and send your work colleague to HR, to see if there is a way of having that treatment or freeze the eggs? We are humans, with emotions, hopes and aspirations. If one of them is having a child, why not have IVF leave? In 21st century, let’s normalise IVF treatment, because sometimes, 1 in 5 people need it.  And we, the HSFC family, are the 5/5 family that would love to welcome you and make you part of us.
