“The whole world will look different for you now, so beautiful!”
We welcomed Nicola and Alex to our family in December 2019. With all the hurdles of their fertility journey (including a pandemic!), Nicola Manashe and her fiancee, actor Alex Reid, are now EXPECTING!
Here is the conversation between Nicola Manashe and Dr Venkat who told Nicola the excellent news.
Are they twins?
Nicola had her pregnancy confirmed thanks to her hCG levels measured today (hCG = Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a hormone that signals a pregnancy). The expected HCG levels for a good pregnancy should be around 100. If it’s over 200, there might be twins. Nicola’s HCG level was 366.
The news
The news were given to Nicola by her “all-time-favourite Fairy God Mother”, Dr Venkat, as Nicola called Dr Venkat in a previous podcast.
Nicola confessed that being told the news by Dr Venkat made it even more special.
Advice
“Be careful, don’t do anything silly,” said Dr Venkat, who also advised Nicola on the next steps to be taken.
