Kelly and her partner had been trying to conceive for three and a half years. They had been to their GP to investigate why they couldn’t have a baby, only to be told that there would be no help available as Kelly already had a 6 year old son with her previous partner.
Kelly said she felt abandoned and wanted someone to look into their condition and to take them seriously.
Once she found HSFC, Dr Venkat soon discovered that Kelly’s left ovary was not working properly. Her husband’s sperm was also ‘temperamental’ – sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.
Dr Venkat advised the couple to undergo ICSI treatment and happily, the first round was successful. Their baby, Lily-Mae, was born 10 months ago and they couldn’t be happier.
