With the approach of a New Year looming, you may be considering a more lasting change to your life, by starting a family. During the month of December, Harley Street Fertility Clinic (HSFC) is offering free consultations on three consecutive Saturdays (3/12,10/12 and 17/12) in return for a minimum £50 charitable donation, which will also be match-funded by the Clinic.
All proceeds from the consultations will be donated to The Eve Appeal, the only UK national charity that raises awareness and funds research in the five gynaecological cancers – ovarian, womb, cervical, vaginal and vulva. In the UK over 21,000 women are diagnosed annually with a gynaecological cancer and around 7,700 die – that’s a staggering 21 women every day. Yet despite these grim statistics, gynaecological cancers are neither a well-profiled nor a well-funded cause. The Eve Appeal aims to change all that, by funding much needed research, as well as offering support and advice ‘ask eve’ to those suffering from gynaecological cancer.
