HSFC - Meet the Team - Q&As

HSFC – Meet the team – Q&As

Harley Street Fertility Clinic (HSFC) offers comprehensive assistance to couples who are not able to conceive on their own, through a range of treatments.

They understand that this can often be a very daunting and challenging time for couples, which is why the HSFC team focus on making the clinic as open and welcoming as they possibly can. The expert team is always on hand to offer advice and care for every single person that walks through the door.

And the team want YOU to get to know them a little bit better and so over the next few weeks we will be going over some questions and answers with certain people at HSFC.

Suzanne Cawood works in the lab at HSFC and here is what she had to say:

What is your role at HSFC and what does that involve?

“I am the lab manager and a senior embryologist here at HSFC. My main duty involves maintain the effective running of the embryology lab here.”

How long have you worked at the clinic?

“I joined in May 2014.”

What has surprised you most about working at the clinic?

“One thing that surprised me when I joined was how well and fully equipped the lab is. It is really specialised and has everything we need.”

What do you find most challenging about working at HSFC?

“To be honest, we have such a fantastic team here that it isn’t too challenging.”

What is the best thing to have happened to you whilst working here?

“The very first patient I helped treat through my lab work got pregnant successfully – so that was a pretty special moment.”

What do you do at the weekends to relax?

“I relax by exercising regularly and socialising with my friends.”

Did you always want to go into the health industry when you were younger?

“When I was younger, I actually wanted to become a dentist, but always something to do with medical or science.”

Where is your favourite place to go on holiday and why?

“I don’t have a favourite place, as I love to explore new places and go somewhere different every time I go away.

Tell us an embarrassing fact about you?

“There isn’t anything that springs to mind I’m afraid!”

If you were stuck on a desert island, who from the clinic would you want to be trapped with and why?

“Ohh this is really tough…I would say Nicola Overton just as she is great company and fun to have around. She would definitely keep me sane and I’m sure we are good enough to build a raft and escape the island if we really wanted.”
